A nice Korean restaurant very near to the “Quartier latin”.

214 rue Saint-Jacques

75005 Paris

I went there with my wife for dinner. So we took two evening menus and some wine.

Usual little dishes coming at the beginning of the meal (for two). Some of them are well known like the kim-chi, but some of them taste quite original (at least for my French culture :-) ) and really great.

(Woops, sorry for the bad light) Small salad mainly made of raw cabbage, not bad but nothing special about it. Then menu then includes either a small soup (pretty good):

or a couple of dumplings:

Among the possible dishes in the menu, my wife had these:

Those are buckwheat noodles with various vegetables (cold). It turns out it’s a bit too heavy on the garlic, ahem ahem for bad breath! I had this:

That’s a main dish served in a stone bowl (keeps stuff hot for a long time) with an egg, carrots, soy, cucumber, etc., and rice. I always thought it was a bit strange that you have to mix all this before eating, but I like the taste a lot.

Okay, so here’s the check (in euros, including some wine, 25 cl I think):

2 x Evening menu: 25.60

Wine: 3

Total: 28.60 euros (for 2, 14.30 per person)
